I decided to sit down and rewrite this. What I neglected to think about was what I could say. I am a spiritual mutt. I believe in a higher power. I believe that there is more to the world than the human condition. Whether that is simply a shared consciousness or a shared energy or another being altogether of greater power... that I don't know. But I don't think it matters.

It is the belief that matters and the belief that allows us as people to recognize the importance of thinking beyond ourselves. Be it spiritually, politically, or in terms of interpersonal relationships, we are more than singular creatures. We exist as a whole, and the whole is more than any one of us. I think that what you do and who you are matters a hell of a lot more than what church you decide to attend (or not attend). If you're a good person and you genuinely try to do the right thing, that's what really matters.
