Title: The clip Author: Sammymc Feedback: sammymc@comcast.net Website: http:www.geocities.com/sammy_anny_m Pairing: Tom Felton / Daniel Radcliffe Rating: PG-13 Summary: Dan has a little crush. Archive at "A Bit of Imagination"? Yes, Please. Thanks. Inspired by: http://www.angelfire.com/wizard/dracolovesharry/hboproof.html Daniel wasn’t sure what it was that drew him to Tom. On screen they were bitter enemies who fought constantly. Daniel thought that if Draco Malfoy was a real person and they came face to face he would probably strangle the Bastard. But Tom wasn’t Draco. Tom was nothing like Draco. Tom was nice and fun and two full years older than Dan himself. Tom hung out with the older of the teenage cast, while Daniel found himself almost religiously flanked by his very own Ron and Hermione, in the form of Rupert and Emma. Tom had slowly become this unreachable phenomenon who he only ever saw on set so that they could pretend to hex each other or to knock each other off their perspective brooms. Unlike his on screen role, Rupert admired Tom nearly as much as Daniel did, only in a more platonic sense. All you had to do was check out the kids resume. Dan had done David Copperfield and Rupert had done Thunderpants. But, Tom... Tom had done The Borrowers and Anna and the King. Real movies. Real movies. Not made for TV films and virtual box office bombs, who’s sole topic was the art of passing gas. Tom was practically a professional in comparison. So, Dan wasn’t all that surprised when he developed a crush on the older teen. Tom Felton was beautiful. All that pale skin and his bleached blond hair. Dan almost believed he was Draco Malfoy when he sneered the right way. His voice even changed when he was in character, turning snarky and superior. But as soon as the camera stopped rolling they found themselves back to Tom and Dan, and they were both smiling again. But, Dan wouldn’t dare try and catch the other boys attention. He was too unsure and embarrassed to try such a thing. But when Tom cornered him behind the make-up trailer and kissed him hard on the mouth, Dan allowed himself to melt against the fake metal siding and kiss back. It had been short and hot and had made Dan hard for the next hour and a half. Which had been really embarrassing. Rupert kept making smarmy broomstick comments just so that Dan would walk away blushing scarlet and fighting down a smirk. Emma just looked at him and smiled, showing him that trademark Hermione Granger look on her face. The-‘I understand perfectly, isn’t Ron a right Git’-look. It worked surprisingly well in relation to Rupert either in or out of character. But Tom, Tom was acting like nothing had happened and every time Dan looked at the boy he felt his face heat, which wasn’t really a good thing. The next few days were the Quidditch scenes, which meant filming against a blue screen with Tom. There was an extra film crew hanging around interviewing the cast and Chris Columbus. Dan sat in a sling chair having his arm guards adjusted, trying to answer the interviewers questions without blushing and stammering incoherently when Tom came over. He was in costume already but didn’t yet have his Draco personality in tact. He was still moving easily and still smiling. He leans against the back of Dan’s chair and smiles into the camera. "Well, we’re not really enemies, we love each other really.." Tom smirked a little. Dan looked up at him, a goofy grin on his face and blushed Gryffindor red. end.
