History: Livia's mother died during childbirth. Her father Hamnet and brother Rowell were great warriors in one of Ares' armies. While she waited at home alone, Livia read a great deal and became an expert in the histories of both Greece and Rome.

Ares brought the girl the news of her father and brother's deaths personally because they had often regaled him with tales about her beauty. Though the tales, as it turned out, were slightly exaggerated, Ares was pleased with her willingness to learn and to pick up a sword without hesitation. He taught her to use a sword, and she was later taught to fight with a staff by Gabrielle. Still, her weapon of choice is a bow and arrow thanks to her familiarity with the weapons from hunting throughout her life.

While serving at the Temple of Ares, Livia met a rather charming man by the name of Iolaus. She liked him immediately, and eventually formed the Temple of Iolaus with a circle of friends (and Iolaus himself). After Iolaus' death at the hands of Dahak and a series of events that led Livia to the alternate universe, she ended up engaged to Iole (otherwise known as the Jester), and the two are planning to marry soon.
